IHG marked the second opening of voco hotels in Italy with the launch of voco Venice Mestre – The Quid.

This new voco hotel places guests close to the ring road linking Mestre to Venice Marco Polo Airport and the region’s main train station, Venice-Mestre.

Reflection of the voco hotels collection

IHG has partnered with HNH Hospitality to open this new voco hotel in the capital of Italy’s Veneto region, with a hotel offering that caters to both business and leisure travel.

Each property in the voco hotels portfolio is designed to stand out from the crowd, combining the expertise of an international brand with the informality and charm of a boutique hotel.

Giorgia Gasparini, Managing Director of voco Venice Mestre – The Quid, commented: “voco Venice Mestre – The Quid is a great example of how the voco brand has come to life and we are delighted to welcome our very first guests.

“The hotel offers guests the perfect place to work, relax and be themselves – whether that means spending time in a quiet, serene room or spending time with friends, family and/or colleagues in our superb on-site bar.”

Character and functionality

This hotel reflects the character and spirit of the property in contemporary interiors that are also designed for functionality. Guests are accommodated in 128 warm and inviting rooms with handcrafted decor and playful decorative touches.

During their stay, guests can take advantage of the hotel’s fitness room and spacious convention center with five meeting rooms. The lobby includes a play area connected to the restaurant and bar, Ludico Drinks, Food & Play offering Italian dishes made with fresh local ingredients and a terrace for golden hour cocktails.

Public spaces combine smoky blue hues with natural wood and interior greenery to create a connection between indoor and outdoor space. Voco’s signature yellow feature keys throughout.

The hotel is designed and operated with sustainability in mind, with initiatives such as the use of LED lighting to reduce energy consumption, the use of eco-friendly toiletries from Antipodes, and the installation several charging stations for electric cars.
