UAAGI rewards Olympic medalists with new Foton and Chery vehicles – Manila bulletin

Celebrating with other Filipinos the country’s best Olympic performance, United Asia Automotive Group Inc. (UAAGI), the Philippine automotive and commercial vehicle distributor Foton and Chery, recognizes the three victorious Filipino medalists, led by the medalist weightlifter of or Hidilyn Diaz, with their own Foton and Chery cars.

The official handover of the vehicles to the three Olympians took place at the Windy Ridge Hotel in Tagaytay City.

UAAGI leaders led by its President, Rommel Sytin, as well as representatives of the Tagaytay City Government, led by Senator Francis Tolentino and the President of the Philippine Olympic Committee, Abraham “Bambol” Tolentino, greeted the athletes. winners.

Weightlifter Hidilyn Diaz, who won gold in the women’s weightlifting category, happily received their brand new vehicles; Nesthy Petecio, who won silver in the women’s featherweight boxing category; and Carlo Paalam, who also won the silver medal in the men’s flyweight boxing category.

UAAGI awarded Diaz with a 13-seater Foton Transvan model, one of the brand’s most popular models.

Petecio, on the other hand, was awarded a fun to drive but functional Chery Tiggo 2 SUV in the new gray color.

Finally, Paalam was awarded a Foton Gratour MT, a versatile minivan that can be used with family or for business.

“We are all very proud of what our hard-working athletes have accomplished on the world stage. They have brought so much pride and inspiration to their fellow Filipinos, which is indispensable in these difficult times, ”said UAAGI President Rommel Sytin. “It is our privilege to be able to reward these sports heroes in our humble way,” added Sytin.

Sytin, through UAAGI, has always been an advocate for Filipino sports, especially in the areas of volleyball and basketball. UAAGI has fielded some very competitive teams in women’s volleyball, first as Foton Tornadoes and recently under the Chery Tiggo Crossovers banner. Just last week, the Chery Tiggo Crossovers won the first-ever professional volleyball championship in the inaugural Premier Volleyball League (PVL).

UAAGI rewarded new athlete-heroes to show its support for athletes of all sports disciplines.
