To curb the spread of the Covid-19 Omicron variant, a number of popular Tokyo attractions are temporarily closed from January 11 until further notice. As Kyodo News reported, the facilities affected so far are those run by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, such as zoos and aquariums, Japanese and botanical gardens, as well as museums. However, public parks and libraries will remain open.
