Hanoi (VNA) – The Ministry of Transport has issued a set of badges to identify vehicles serving the next 31st Southeast Asian Games (SEA 31 games).
He said on May 4 that he instructed the Traffic Police Department of the Ministry of Public Security to brief its relevant units on badges to ensure smooth traffic flow at the regional sporting event.
Meanwhile, its Roads Directorate has been instructed to notify the Vietnam Expressway Corporation, investors in build-operate-transfer transport projects and relevant companies in localities hosting competitions to open toll and traffic control for priority vehicles.
On the theme “For a stronger Southeast Asia”, WED Games 31 is due to take place in Hanoi and 11 nearby locations from May 12-23. It will feature 40 sports with 526 events and attract 10,000 participants.
This is the second time that Vietnam has hosted the SEA Games, after the 22nd edition in 2003./.
