Marriott and Playa Hotels & Resorts Partner for Cap Cana Resort

Marriott International is collaborating with Playa Hotels & Resorts to bring The Luxury Collection brand to this exclusive location on the coast of the Dominican Republic.

Sanctuary Cap Cana, a Luxury Collection Adult All-Inclusive Resort will be the brand’s first all-inclusive resort in the Dominican Republic.

A new partnership

Together, Marriott International and leading owner and operator of all-inclusive resorts in Mexico and the Caribbean, Playa Hotels & Resorts, announced a partnership between Sanctuary Cap Cana owner Francisco Martínez and Marriott to launch this new Luxury Collection property. in the summer of 2022.

A luxury enclave

The 325-key adults-only resort will put guests in the heart of Punta Cana’s private Cap Cana enclave, comprising 30,000 acres of beaches.

Highlights of Cap Cana include the Punta Espada golf course designed by Jack Nicklaus, a state-of-the-art marina with over 150 slides, and an equestrian center including two polo fields designed by Alejandro Batros.

The resort, which underwent a 2019 renovation, is now home to five restaurants, six bars, five pools, and the resort’s own nightlife destination, Sanctuary Town.

Sanctuary Cap Cana is set to become Playa’s first managed resort under a Marriott International brand.
