Halloween Afternoon Tea at Park Hyatt Tokyo

One of the city’s most iconic hotels, the Park Hyatt Tokyo serves special Halloween afternoon tea in its Peak Lounge. The beautiful tea set showcases seasonal flavors and luxurious ingredients in its sweet and savory selections, with many items featured in the glitz and fashion of the Halloween parties.

To whet your appetite, a sandwich made with bamboo charcoal powder bread, Brillat Savarin, fig jam and autumn truffles, accompanied by a monaka of foie gras in the shape of a skull and blinis with sakura shrimp. The dessert platter, meanwhile, consists of Mont Blanc with Japanese chestnuts, dark chocolate cake with green tea cream, and pecan pie with more chestnut cream, to name a few- a few.

You’ll also get a special parfait stacked with vanilla creme, pumpkin creme, speculoos (gingerbread crust cookies) and shiny muscat grapes. Of course, the staple of afternoon tea – scones – has received a touch of autumn, now also available in a chestnut flavor.

As usual at the Peak Lounge, the selection of teas is extensive, with varieties from India and Sri Lanka as well as herbal infusions without caffeine. This time around, however, you also have the option of choosing from several seasonal specials, including green milk tea (dairy or vegetable milk), iced royal milk tea (banana or chestnut flavoring), and Yamato-cha. , an aromatic green tea from Nara.
