Group presentation: The Ascott Limited will open 200 new hotels [Infographic]

Information from the TOPHOTELPROJECTS construction database reveals significant growth for the Ascott Limited Hotel Group.

The hotel company plans to add up to 38,783 new rooms to its portfolio over the next few years.

Focus on Asia Pacific

The Ascott Limited is set to make an impact over the next few years, with an impressive 191 four-star and nine five-star hotels in the pipeline.

Of the 200 planned hotels, 76 properties with a total of 15,681 rooms are expected to open in 2022, 55 hotels with 10,571 rooms are expected to open in 2023, 28 properties with 5,743 rooms are scheduled to debut in 2024, and the remaining 41 properties with 6 788 rooms between them are expected to be completed in 2025 and beyond.

Asia-Pacific is particularly targeted with 181 of the hotels located in this region. Europe and the Middle East will each welcome seven new properties and five hotels will open in Africa.

The countries with the most activity are in the Asia-Pacific region. China expects the most openings, with 73 hotels on the horizon, and Indonesia follows with 36 hotels in the pipeline. Malaysia should welcome 15 establishments of the group.

Of these locations, Shanghai is the city with the most Ascott Limited hotels, with 11 hotels to open in the coming years. Chengdu and Kuala Lumpur both have seven properties set to debut.

Outstanding Long Stay Properties

Within this impressive pipeline, notable projects include the early 2023 opening of Citadines Benavidez Makati City and the third quarter 2023 opening of Somerset Gorordo Cebu, both in the Philippines.

The 145-key, four-star Citadines Benavidez Makati City is part of an integrated development within Makati’s central business district.

Guests will be accommodated in studio, one and two bedroom apartments, with facilities including a fitness centre, swimming pool, reception hall and retail offering.

The imposing 155-key Somerset Gorordo Cebu was then under construction at the corner of Gorordo Avenue and Archbishop Reyes Avenue, just minutes from Cebu Business Park.

It is the group’s second serviced residence in the city after Citadines Cebu City and includes a collection of studio, one and two bedroom apartments, as well as facilities such as a swimming pool, fitness centre, fitness, reception rooms and a lounge.
