Firebomb attack on two vehicles outside flats caught on camera as Scottish cops launch major investigation

It’s the terrifying moment a car and van burn to the ground after being set on fire near a Scottish apartment building.

Dramatic social media video shows devastation as orange flames erupt from the Dallas Drive van in Kirkcaldy, Fife.

Firefighters and police attended the scene at around 12:13 p.m. on Tuesday.

Stunned residents watched them fight the blaze, which luckily didn’t hurt anyone.




Police have launched an investigation and say they believe the fires were started on purpose.

A spokeswoman for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service told the Courier: We were alerted at 12:13 a.m. on Tuesday 22 June of reports of a burning car in Dallas Drive, Kirkcaldy.

“Operations control mobilized two devices and firefighters extinguished a fire affecting a car and a van.

“No casualties were reported and the crews stayed after making sure the area was secure.”

A Scottish Police spokesperson said the fires were being treated as deliberate and investigations were ongoing.

They said, “We were made aware of a burning pickup truck and car on Dallas Drive in Kirkcaldy at around 12:20 am on Tuesday June 22nd.

“No one was injured and the blaze was extinguished by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Services.

“The fire is being treated as deliberate and the incident is being investigated.

“Anyone with information can call 101, citing incident 0065 of June 22.”
