Restaurant owners need a vacation too, and every year a portion of them close in Wichita for a period around the 4th of July.
In some cases, restaurants are already closed for the holidays. Other holiday periods will begin this week.

Imperial Pâté Express331 31st St. West: This food truck will be closed from Sunday, July 3 and will reopen on July 19.
The northeast of Felipe2241 N. Woodlawn: This Felipe’s location is closed as of today and will not reopen until July 7th.
by Felipe445 S. 119th St. and 3434 W. Central: These two Felipe restaurants will close for the holidays starting Sunday, July 3 and will reopen July 12.
At Grandma Thuy’s, 8728 W. Maple: Tuesday, June 28 is the last day this egg roll restaurant is open before it closes for the holidays. It will reopen on July 12.
Leaf Teahouse ICT, 1912 E. Pawnee: This boba shop closed last week — not for a holiday but for a major renovation. It will not reopen until July 18.
Little Saigon1015 N. Broadway: This favorite stop for pho, bun and banh mi is closed for the holidays starting today and won’t reopen until July 12.
Molino’s Mexican cuisine, 1064 N. Waco: Restaurant will be closed July 4-10. Its sister restaurant, Molino’s Taqueria on Rock Road, will not close until July 4.
Pho Ong 83801 E. Harry: The vacation started last week for the staff of the Vietnamese restaurant Pho Ong 8. It will reopen on July 9.
Savute’s3303 N. Broadway: This Italian classic takes a vacation starting Sunday, July 3. It will reopen on July 7.
Shanghai3815 E. Harry: This Chinese restaurant will be closed from Saturday July 2 and will reopen on July 15.
Tacos tj 6641014 N. West St.: This Mexican restaurant will close Friday, July 1 and reopen July 11.
Yokohama Ramen Izakaya6434 E. Central: This restaurant in Normandy Center will be closed from Wednesday June 29 and will not reopen until July 7.
Yokohama ramen bar613 W. Douglas: Yokohama Ramen Joint in Delano will also be closed beginning Wednesday, June 29 and reopening July 7.
